Kishin Arts is an art studio founded by my brother (Fooly) and I (OdD), a couple of Weebs(anime themed nerd) that spend most of our time drawing and working out story ideas. We like most learned just as much from TV as school, and we honestly feel lucky to have had parents that not only sat down and watched things like power rangers, Yuigoh and Pokemon just to have so idea of the crazy words and phrase we constantly used, but that understood that we could handle mature things like 90’s blood soaked anime and South Park.

NO not from a book

My brother and I aren’t fans of books but love manga, we also dislike subbed anime and often find the charm in even the worth English dub so long it has heart and fun world. For us the art and freedom to get inspired to create our own is the purpose of media and entertainment. So its difficult to get inspired when you have a complicated relationship with reading long stretches of words with nothing but your attention-span and imagination to drive you, so the pictures help; and something is lost when you read an emotionally charged statement verses hearing and understanding the inflections of the voice… No matter how bad the read maybe. Lucky for us most thing have an audio-book, or budget dub so there is always something to chow on while we works.

We at Kishin Arts have a true love for a reference or inappropriate and ill timed joke that just make you laugh despite how much you don’t want to. Nearly everything we work on has a double or triple meaning behind the naming, posing, or execution, and the more you get to know us the more you’ll get the references and jokes.
